This image is part of a series on Davis Lake, specifically East Davis Lake Campground. A raging wildfire swept through the area a few years ago, altering the landscape dramatically. Amidst the dead tree skeletons stood living green trees, somehow spared from the devouring flames. The view here is toward the east, with a devastated Hamner Butte in the background, and the waters of Odell Creek in the foreground. I identify with those trees, having somehow survived the grueling battle with cancer in 2004. My pickup truck is in the middle ground. This open edition print is made on professional grade paper with a watercolor finish, the colors are brilliant! It is signed and matted. The print measures 12x18 inches, the outside dimensions of the simple mat are 18x24 inches.
