This triptych depicts the Deschutes River at Bull Bend Campground in central Oregon. It requires a large wall space since EACH OF THE THREE PANELS measures 24x30 inches. It is almost like being there in this gorgeous spot along the river. Fishermen and campers know this place very well! The oxbow turn is a wonderful place to spend a day along the river!
It took a year to finish this triptych, and required multiple visits to the site, as well as late nights painting under studio lights. I used three large easels, placed side by side in order to develop the three panels into a coherent whole. Each panel was blocked in with large shapes first in order to get the overall sense of the place, the continuity of the three that were to be experienced as one. Then layers came adding details, still careful to relate each detail to the entirety.
I framed the panels simply so that there would be no disruption to the flow between the panels. This triptych represents over a year of effort. It ships to US locations only, at no additional cost to the buyer.
I would be happy to answer any questions if you message me.
